I was excited to receive the Chipwerke tuning product for my 2021 MK7 Jetta SE. I was confused at first because it didn't come with instructions. I couldn't tell which harness connectors went where, etc. In the end I decided they were identical, two pairs exactly the same. I found a YouTube video that convinced me more or less that was correct. The only thing left to worry about is my CEL is on and I can't reset it. If you have ideas please let me know.

ChipWerke piggyback tuning module is a safe and reversible alternative to ECU tuning. It connects to one or more engine data sensors to intercept and alter the factory signals. ChipWerke piggyback module runs an engine-specific mapping to re-calibrate conservative factory settings to increase boost pressure.
Depending on the vehicle, the increased boost pressure results in up to 40% more horsepower and torque. EASY AND PLUG-AND-PLAY INSTALLATION PROCESS
No modifications required
ChipWerke piggyback tuning module connects to one or more engine sensors. It intercepts the factory wiring harness with OEM-quality plugs, so no wire splicing, cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications are required. The guide included in the package shows specific installation instructions for your vehicle.
The basic things to consider in all applications are as follows:
Engine Off & ECU Reset
Turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Leave the driver’s door open for 15 minutes while keeping the keyfob at least 35 feet away from the car to ensure the ECU shuts down completely.
Mounting Location
Locate where you want to mount the module. Make sure that it is away from the areas that tend to heat up relatively more.
Harness Protection
Make sure the ChipWerke harness is not overly stretched and is protected against water.
Secure Connections
Make sure that plugs are securely connected in place and that there are no unused plugs left.

Great piggyback, easy to install, I did end up tweaking a dials a little bit to get more boost running. There are some very minimal stutters sometime but it's not an ECU reflash so I expected it. Overall really nice set up and the customer service team is great to work with

I've had my Chipwerke chip installed on my 2015 A6 3.0 for about a month now, and I couldn't be happier. I know results vary from car to car, but you can't go wrong with this product. Especially when you compare it to a $1000+ tune. As soon as I installed it (which took a couple mins), and made a couple runs, I had a huge smile on my face. I didn't expect it to be so noticeable. My car is now extremely aggressive (especially from the launch), and I'm getting 27.5-29 mph on the highway. Highly recommend.

Easy install. Improved mid-range power, and some improvement in mileage. It is a nice compromise, when you don't want to make warranty voiding changes. Worthwhile for the price.

I purchased the chipwerke device for my Audi A6. Definitely woke my Audi up for sure. From a dig, I was beating Scatpacks and 5.0s. Worth the money. I just wished there was a way to remove the speed limiter.

I didn’t notice a big difference the first time I drove my car after install. 3 days of normal driving and a couple off carbon removal accelerations and it’s definitely woken up a beast. I haven’t had any trouble codes.

I have a 2019 VW GTI. I was somewhat happy with the stock performance, but did not like the lag or the throttle response. I was a little hesitant to buy the ChipWerke module at first since I was afraid of making the GTI more difficult to drive. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. There is some turbo lag still, but it is much less noticeable. The other plus is the throttle response seems quicker and smoother. Of course, there is also an increase in power. At around 3500 RPM you can really feel the increase in power. The other thing I like about the ChipWerke module is its ability to be removed easily if needed. There have been a couple of issues I found during installation. Cables were not marked correctly (A and B labels swapped), but that was only a minor issue. Was able to install by matching the connectors, didn't need labels. Instructions were fair, but could be improved.
I'm so very disappointed that my immediate area doesn't have many roads where I can just let it rip! Already a fun drive, the Chipwerke makes a substantial difference, and will keep a smile on your face. Easy to install is an understatement. Simply remove the connectors for two sensors, plug in the Chipwerke, and plug the original connector into the harness. That's it! The full effect took about 40 miles it seems, or a full "cycle". Seems the ECU needed to learn the new expectations of the throttle position and the response the Chipwerke was providing. Go for it! Best bang for your buck, easily removed, and fun as hell!

Amazing, couldn't be happier! I was a bit skeptical at first but read other people's accounts of their positive experiences on the forums so I thought I'd give it a try. Less than half the price of a flash tune, and I was still under warranty at the time. Got my stage 1 and was downright amazed. High quality product, using genuine VW/Audi connectors, and easy to install. Way faster and easier process than any other tune. Once it was set up and the car adapted to it, discovered my car was faster than a number of other stage 1 tuned cars! Awesome! After about a year, I decided to go stage 2, bought a larger crank pulley and intake. I emailed Chipwerke and got a prompt, friendly response from Larry. He walked me through the process of upgrading and I sent back my device to be reprogrammed. Larry kept me informed, and he reprogrammed my device and had it back to me in 1 business day! After my car adapted to the new program, I'm amazed all over again. The performance is incredible. I can't wait to take it to the track and embarrass everyone else! This is the one to get, these guys are the real deal!!

Can't go wrong I'll admit I was extremely worried about a product that wasn't a "true tune". Well to my surprise this product performs really well for the money. Are there a few hiccups I wish could be worked out? Of course but they are so minuscule compared to the advantages of the Chipwerke. The only reason I would pass on this product is if your dual pulley as they don't have software for it. Wonderful product
