HOW DOES CHIPWERKE PIGGYBACK MODULE WORK

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module intercepts the factory wiring harness of the N55 engine and recalibrates the boost sensor and intake manifold sensor signals. The best alternative to a permanent ECU remap, ChipWerke increases the boost pressure only by recalibrating sensor readings.

ChipWerke works alongside the factory N55 ECU and makes no permanent changes, increasing the power while retaining OEM driveability and reliability. All the factory safety parameters stay intact. The ChipWerke’s tune can be adjusted with seven preset levels (-3 to +3) easily via the mobile app to optimize the power increase for your driving style, varying fuel quality, or altitude changes.

EASY PLUG-AND-PLAY INSTALL

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module connects to the BMW M235i’s 4-pin intake manifold pressure sensor after the throttle valve, and 4-pin boost pressure sensor before the throttle valve. It connects with top-quality plugs, so no wire splicing, cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications are required. The basic things to consider in all applications are as follows:

Turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Leave the driver’s door open for 15 minutes while keeping the keyfob at least 35 feet away from the car to ensure the ECU shuts down completely.
Locate where you want to mount the module. Make sure that it is away from the areas that tend to heat up relatively more.
Make sure the ChipWerke harness is not overly stretched and is protected against water.
Make sure that plugs are securely connected in place and that there are no unused plugs left.
