HOW DOES CHIPWERKE PIGGYBACK MODULE WORK

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module is the best alternative to a permanent ECU tune. It intercepts the stock harness to alter the reading from the boost pressure sensors of the 4.0-liter TFSI engine. ChipWerke recalibrates and optimizes the stock signals to modify turbo pressure, increasing horsepower and torque significantly.

ChipWerke does not permanently alter the stock ECU. It boosts power output while retaining OEM daily driveability and reliability. The basic things to consider in all applications are as follows:

Turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Leave the driver’s door open for 15 minutes while keeping the keyfob at least 35 feet away from the car to ensure the ECU shuts down completely.
Locate where you want to mount the module. Make sure that it is away from the areas that tend to heat up relatively more.
Make sure the ChipWerke harness is not overly stretched and is protected against water.
Make sure that plugs are securely connected in place and that there are no unused plugs left.
