HOW DOES CHIPWERKE PIGGYBACK MODULE WORK

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module connects to the factory wiring harness to alter the readings from the MAP/IAT sensors at both sides of your Audi A6 3.0T’s supercharged V6 engine. ChipWerke is a safe and reversible alternative to ECU tuning—it only intercepts and optimizes the stock signals to modify boost pressure, increasing horsepower and torque.

It works within factory parameters and does not permanently alter the stock ECU, so ChipWerke boosts power output while retaining OEM reliability. The mapping can be fine-tuned with seven preset levels (-3 to +3) easily via the mobile app to optimize the power increase for your driving style, varying fuel quality, or climate conditions.

EASY PLUG-AND-PLAY INSTALL

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module connects to the MAP/IAT sensors at each side of the 3.0 TFSI V6 engine block. It intercepts the factory wiring harness with OEM-quality plugs, so no wire splicing, cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications are required. The guide included in the package shows specific installation instructions for your vehicle.

The basic things to consider in all applications are as follows:

Turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Leave the driver’s door open for 15 minutes while keeping the keyfob at least 35 feet away from the car to ensure the ECU shuts down completely.
Locate where you want to mount the module. Make sure that it is away from the areas that tend to heat up relatively more.
Make sure the ChipWerke harness is not overly stretched and is protected against water.
Make sure that plugs are securely connected in place and that there are no unused plugs left.
