HOW DOES CHIPWERKE PIGGYBACK MODULE WORK

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module is the best alternative to a permanent ECU tune. It intercepts the stock harness to alter the reading from the 4-pin intake manifold and boost pressure sensors of the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. ChipWerke recalibrates and optimizes the stock signals to modify boost pressure, increasing horsepower and torque.

ChipWerke does not permanently alter the stock ECU, so it boosts power output while retaining OEM daily driveability and reliability. The ChipWerke’s tune can be adjusted with seven preset levels (-3 to +3) easily via the mobile app to optimize the power increase for your driving style, varying fuel quality, or altitude changes.

EASY PLUG-AND-PLAY INSTALL

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module connects to the Audi A4 45 TFSI’s intake manifold pressure sensor located at the top front area and the boost pressure sensor located on the pressure pipe. It uses OEM-quality plugs, so no wire splicing, cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications are required. The guide included in the package shows specific installation instructions for your vehicle.

The basic things to consider in all applications are as follows:

Turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Leave the driver’s door open for 15 minutes while keeping the keyfob at least 35 feet away from the car to ensure the ECU shuts down completely.
Locate where you want to mount the module. Make sure that it is away from the areas that tend to heat up relatively more.
Make sure the ChipWerke harness is not overly stretched and is protected against water.
Make sure that plugs are securely connected in place and that there are no unused plugs left.
